What I know - and it's not much.

Hi, welcome to my spotting blog. I will be accounting for my encounters with my number 17 as often as possible. I will also be looking for other material on this issue and summarizing my findings here.

What I know. Everyday you see two numbers around you maybe a thousand times (I'm currently trying to count my encounters with adjacent numbers). And if these numbers become exclusive in every set of 100 you see (as there was actually any order in reality), then one of those numbers would be 17. I exclude 71 because that would simply make me crazy - it's not even as frequent as 17.

My birthday is on the 17th of the 9th Month. It's a date sort of midway through the 9th month? Almost, like, 8.5months into the year. 8.5x2=17. My shoe size: 8.5. And shoes come in pairs.

My only hope is that my search will come up empty, and that the number will eventually turn out to mean nothing.
